About Madison

In a world where we consult about anything and everything from business deals to who to trust with our next haircut, who couldn’t use an unbiased consultant for life?

I am passionate about facilitating the therapeutic process and empowering clients with the ability to heal their mind, body and spirit through an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities that include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques, improv comedy, and trauma focused healing.

I will seek to help you understand the origin of your road blocks in life and help you define your values.  From there, we will collaborate on a plan to take action-oriented steps to help you live a fulfilling life as the most authentic version of yourself.

I am a licensed professional counselor and member of the American Counseling Association.  I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from The University of Texas.  I also have the privilege of speaking at a national level on the benefits of using improv comedy techniques in the clinical setting.  I incorporate essential elements of improv comedy as well as client centered therapy into my practice.

I work best with clients sixteen and older who are struggling to find inner peace and fulfillment,  who appreciate laughter as a form of healing (along with a good lapdog).  I am fortunate enough to have extensive experience with community-based practices, judicial settings, in-patient and out-patient treatment of individuals with anxiety, relationship difficulties, dual diagnosis, trauma, substance misuse and co-occurring disorders.
